Wow, what a weekend. We spent all day and night Saturday at the Georgia Dome for supercross! It was so exciting, never a dull moment. Lots of crashes and action! We spent some time with good friends from Eastman, tailgating for lunch. It was a little on the chilly side though, brrr.

Sunday was another great day of worship. Then we had lunch with good friends and enjoyed lots of fellowship. Good time! We talked about God's provision for New City in working out a new space for us to have a coffee shop/art exhibitions/bands, etc...whatever we can do to connect with the city. As of today, Starbucks is on board with us as well! God has just shown His favor to New City and it is so exciting!

Daddy started chemo today. He also got good news that the fluid that he had drawn off from around his lungs was not malignant. Hopefully the new tumors in his liver can be taken care of with radio-ablation (sp) and then he will still have chemo for some time to come.

Elijah is warming up to t-ball. Although there are times that he says he wants to quit.

Did I tell ya that I love, love keeping my babies...Harrison (7 months) and Avery (4 months). They are usually here at different times which keeps the stress down. But they are so cuddly and sweet. Harrison is ALL boy and Avery is a petite little girl. so different God has really blessed me with the opportunity to keep some sweet babies! He has met a need that I have as a mother and it also helps our family financially. Can't lose!

Well, gotta get kiddos in bed!

First Day of T-Ball

Elijah is participating in T-ball this year, and we weren't quite sure how he was going to do, being his shy self and all. He had his Daddy close by for awhile and then he ventured out onto the field with the team to practice with the coaches. He did ok...taking in alot by just observing the kids around him...then the tears started when he had to bat more than once. I think he got a little overwhelmed by adults strangers everywhere giving him instruction, so he turned around to his Daddy and said "Daddy, I'm tired." I took him off the field and gave him a hug. A little later Keith walked into the outfield with him and I caught them playing airplane running after the ball.
He's making progress, becoming more and more comfortable with the bunch of strangers. He told Keith at the last practice that he wasn't ready to show them his superman yet!
Boys! There's nothin' like 'em!

The news we've dreaded...

Well, there are new spots on Daddy's liver. Not the news we wanted to hear. The oncologist here in Macon says they are small and I think there are 2 of them, one 3 cm. But Mom is going to call Daddy's liver surgeon in Atlanta and get his opinion. So, chemo starts next Monday with the pill and IV. I'll let you know more as I find out. Please keep Mom and Daddy in your prayers.

"Behold, you are beautiful, my beloved, truly delightful. My beloved is radiant and ruddy, His cheeks are like beds of spices, his lips are lilies, his arms are rods of gold, his body is polished ivory, his legs are alabaster columns, His mouth is most sweet, and he is altogether desirable. This is my beloved and this is my friend."

My beloved you are! You are a treasure to me! A provider, a protector, a delightful Father and friend, my lover! I love to hear you proclaim the Word, your passion - Jesus Christ! I love to see you hug your children and freely give of yourself each time they ask to play. You are an encourager, one who easily forgives, you don't hold grudges...even against those who hurt you so.

"I am sick with love."

"I am my beloved's and my beloved is MINE!"...always

WooHoo!! Our first baptism!!!!!!!

What an awesome celebration we had at New City today. Jessica Enclard was baptized this morning at the Cox Capital Theatre and it was followed by lots of applause and celebrating yells. We decided to give praise and shout out our joy for our new sister in Christ and most importantly for our HERO- JESUS CHRIST. We then followed with Take It All and Salvation is Here...2 praise songs that we enjoy singing as we close out our day together. I love that we end on a high time of praise!
On a different note, Daddy goes for a scan of his liver, lungs and colon this Tuesday. He then gets those results and starts chemo on the 19th. Please pray for him...he is very nervous about cancer coming back and so he is worried. Pray for him to have peace and of course we are praying for awesome results from the scan.
Gotta go, Elijah wants a turn on the computer to play Webkinz! :)

Keisha tagged me, so now I have to tell seven weird/strange things about myself:
  1. One of my best memories growing up was my Daddy giving me a special valentine just from him every Valentine's Day. When I was in highschool, I would get a special delivery at school just from him! I loved it! One year he won this huge candy filled heart from some bank (I think) and brought it home to me.
  2. I love, love natural peanut butter and honey sandwiches. Once you try natural peanut butter, the normal stuff if just too sweet. (by the way Page, we do not buy Skippy)
  3. I hate, hate cold weather. In fact, when I get out of the shower I say, "I hate the cold, I hate the cold, I hate the cold." It makes me feel better.
  4. I despise going in public restrooms, won't eat after I visit one in a restaurant! Yuck! I am definitely obsessive/compulsive!!
  5. I despise buffets...don't do Ryans, or Golden Corral, Stevie B's...I do love Side Track, though!! yum Keith has to take the kids to the pizza buffet when I am not in town.
  6. I cannot make decisions on my own. My daughter is JUST like me! I will ask your opinion, but it won't make a bit of difference...drives Keith crazy!
  7. I miss going shopping with my Mom! Nothing more fun than your Momma taking you shopping!!

That wasn't so bad...but I can't figure out how to link Keisha's name to this, so just click on her name to the right. She does great blogs to raise money for babies!

I tag Jennifer Walker!

What a great day we had yesterday! I so enjoyed hearing the Word, 50 minutes seems like 20 when the truth is being taught. We had JJ Weeks lead worship because our band leader was out of town with work. God provided for our need once again. We gear up for our first baptism, (second salvation praise) set for next Sunday. Our baptistry was bought at Tractor Supply! How funny is that! Of course, that ol' devil is trying to get his foot in the door...pray he gets slammed in the door!
We spent the afternoon visiting and laughing alot with good friends passing through on their way back to SEBC. Fun!
Ivey went home with a friend from church and Robby brought a friend home with him, so they had a great time too.
Then we celebrated a nail biter of a game, watching the underdogs win! I did not even want to watch the game because the Patriots were sure to win, even though everyone we talked to wanted to see Manning's team win...and they did!!

My Daddy celebrated another birthday on groundhog's day! Happy Birthday Daddy!
